2 Ingredient Cookies (Plus Mix-Ins Of Your Choice)

2 Ingredient Cookies Review

by Franklin Morris II

When I saw the 2 ingredient cookies on The Burlap Bag’s blog, I knew I had to try them. They were too simple not to.

Here’s the recipe for the 2 ingredient cookies:

2 large, very ripe bananas
1 cup of quick oats

This is a recipe base. You can add your
own mix-ins and have fun with it.

You can add ingredients such as:
1. Raisins
2. Dates
3. Walnuts
4. Pecans
5. Carob chips
6. Dried Cranberries

Be fun and original with this 2 Ingredient cookie recipe base.

My experience with the 2 Ingredient Cookies

I made sure I used ripe bananas so the cookies could be sweet. I wanted to try the Burlap bag’s base recipe as well as my variation. I added 1/4 cup of raisins to one batch. The 2 ripest bananas were reserved for the original recipe.

You don’t have to make the cookies as big as I did. For uniformity, I used a medium sized ice cream scoop, which made the cookies bigger. I put them in the oven on 350 for around 18-20 minutes.

My Thoughts on the 2 Ingredient Cookies:

This recipe is a winner for a recipe base. I personally like the 1/4 c. added raisins better, but I also did enjoy the original recipe by itself. I definitely will be experimenting with more variations of this recipe. I want to add walnuts to it and see how that turns out.

I definitely am not finished playing with this recipe, but I wanted to share it with you so you could share some of my fun with it as well. 🙂
